HIA PRESIDENT SPEAKS TO STUART ROTARY

Members at the Jan. 15th Stuart Rotary Club meeting traveled to Colombia, South America, with Nelson Merchan-Cely, president of Hispanics in Action, Inc. Nelson provided insightful information on his country, its culture, traditions, economy, and worldwide known people. Hispanics in Action, Inc. has been teaching French, Spanish, English, Italian and German free of charge since 2005 in Martin and St Lucie counties with the help of 22 volunteer native language speakers. They also have Spanish classes for children and Citizenship. Shown, club president John Hosler presents Nelson with our 90th anniversary mug.
